Hello - I am seeking advice on a new tractor. I am seriously interested in purchasing a Kubota L4200 GST with a 680 loader. This is a very nice 98 like-new unit that is for sale through my local dealer as part of Kubota's rental return program. It only has 8 hours...
Are there any issues I should be aware of with this tractor/loader conbination ? I have done a good bit of research and have decided that the K is the way versus JD, MF, etc...
any comments or advise would be greatly appreictaed. thanks in advance, Randy

The L series tractors are great machines, can you tell us a little more about what you are going to use it for? Commercial Landscaping? Other Excavating chores? Field mowing, Finish Mowing? Estate use? Farm Use? Acres? Barns? Horse Farm?
Barring what you are doing with it, it is a machine I think you will be happy with.

I have a 21 acre place, with about 14 acres in aproducing Filbert Orchard; mainly hobby farming. I plan to cultivate this orchard and do my own harvesting; I need approx 40 hp to run the harvester. I will also use a 7-8' flail to chop the orchard debris.
I will till a couple of acres annually for various vegatables and some berries. The other 5 acres are lanscaped grounds where I will field mow and then I might put in ponds, rocks, etc. and do other landscaping, including some fencing.
I will also grade the 500' driveway periodically.

The tractor has earned an excellent record and is usally priced at less than $23000. w/LA680 or LA681 loader. ....
